Abstract

This research was conducted to find out the influence of the form of feed mash, pellet and crumble to the productivity of laying hen. The experimental design used was Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of three treatments and each treatment consisted of six replications and each replication consisted of 10 laying hen strain Isa Brown. The data of the research were analyzed using the analysis of variance. The treatment consisted of P1 (feeding of mash form), P2 (feeding of pellet form) and P3 (feeding of crumble form). Treatment is given when laying chicken at 20 - 26 weeks. The parameters observed were feed consumption and hen day production while weight gain was observed twice during the research (age 20 weeks and age 24 weeks). The results of this research indicate that the feeding of mash, pellet, crumble has a very significant effect (P <0.01) on feed consumption and hen day production where the best form of feed is pellet, crumble while the lowest mash. The highest consecutive weight gain in crumble, pellet dan mash. Egg Production rate in this research showed that feeding crumble had the best improvement graph to reach the peak of production compared to feeding of mash and pellet.
