Abstract
Leprosy is a chronic infectious disease that causes very complex problems caused by infection with the bacteria Mycobacterium leprae (M.Leprae). Leprosy in Jember ranks fourth in East Java. In 2013 the number of cases of leprosy as many as 158 cases, 296 cases of 2014 and 2015 a total of 287 cases. Jember Regency itself also has yet to reach the elimination of leprosy prevalence rate is still more than 1 per 10,000 population. It is necessary for intensive monitoring to suppress the incidence of leprosy. Monitoring can be done easily using the Digital Mapping System Web-based deployment of leprosy in Jember. The mapping system using Quantum GIS applications. This study aims to map the spread of leprosy-related area Jember. This research was conducted in Jember District Health Office. This type of research is qualitative. In this study, Quantum GIS is used to create digital maps and MySQL as its database for storing data. Results from this study is a digital map-based website that shows the incidence of leprosy in Jember. The digital map display the details of which, the number of leprosy by district, population density, temperature, humidity as well as the main indicator of leprosy. The digital map is equipped with color gradation as an indicator of the high and low cases of leprosy in each of the districts. Digital map-based website is expected to be used as a reference Jember Health Office decision on the incidence of leprosy and the public can find out the spread and prevention as early as possible.
