Abstract
The physical environment is all environment that exists around the workplace that can affect employees either directly or indirectly. There are some problems that exist are filling space at Mitra Medika Hospital has not been in accordance with ergonomic physical environment such as lighting and temperature. The impact of minimum lighting make outpatient filing room dark and heat, if condition easy for staff oftenly for feeling tired and dizzy when they stay for so long in the room. The purpose of this research is to redesign the outpatient filing room based on ergonomic physical environment at Mitra Medika Hospital of Bondowoso Regency. This research is qualitative, by methode collecting data with observation, interview, documentation and brainstorming. The result of this research is to produce new filing room design at Mitra Medika Hospital of Bondowoso Regency in accordance with ergonomic physical environment. The space for new filing room is 62.74 m² with additional of supporting facilities such as 4 medical record racks for 5 years, 1 AC (Air Conditionet) 2PK, 8 lamps 20 watt or 4 40 Watt lamps, and additional of room ventilation 9.4 m². The recommendation for Mitra Medika Hospital It is to add facilities such as medical record racks, air conditioner, lights, and indoor air vents. These facilities are very important because they affect the comfort and health of the officers that working in filing room
