Abstract
The plant's yield is not only determined by environmental factors but also by adaptability of plant varieties. This research aims to know the adaptability of Local Maja red onion varieties with 3 comparison varieties. This research was conducted on September to December 2018 in Cimenyan, Bandung, West Java related to well adaptability of varieties planted in highland. It was applied non factorial Randomize Complete Block Design (RCBD) with 4 treatments and 5 replications. There were A (Local Maja Red Onion Varieties), B (Maja Cipanas Red Onion Varieties), C (Batu Ijo Red Onion Varieties) and D (Trisula Red Onion Varieties). The data was analyzed by using f Test (ANOVA) and followed by LSD (Least Significant Difference) 5%. The results of this research show that the four varieties of tested onion could grow in testing place that has an altitude of 1050 m above sea level with an average temperature of 250 C. Local Maja and Batu Ijo Varieties, has values almost the same, marked with good growth and yield on the parameters of observation of the number of leaves, tuber diameter, fresh weight of tuber per plot, fresh weight of tuber per clump, dry weight of tuber per plot and production per hectare .
