Abstract

The animal feed industry was established along eith the growth of the poultry industry in the early 1980s. currently, the animal feed industry is developing quite well in line with economic growth in Indonesia. However, in 2020, economic growth in Indonesia has decreased. This decline wasdue to the emergence of a deadly virus known as Corona Virus Diease (Covis-19).the creasing spread of the virus that occurred in Indonesia made the business world decrease, one of whivh is UD. Surya Agung, so of course a new bisiness model is needed so that business activities can survive amid the Covid-19 pandemic. UD. Surya Agung a rice mill and animal feed processing factory located in Sumberejo Village, Karangrejo District, Jember Regency. UD. Surya Agungproduces animal feed products from waste rice mills (bran) know us Splator-B. The importance of this research was raised as a support in providing solutions to problems currently facing the factory by building new business model innovations in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic using the design method the result of this research is the innovations of UD’s animal feed business model Surya Agung can be built trough the design method with the stages of definition, research, interpretation, ideation, prototype and evaluation and it is carried out with 9 element of key resources, value proposition, customer relationship, customer segment, channel, cost structure and revenue stream. Implementating design thinking in building an innovative animal feed business model of UD. Surya Agung adds value to element of key partner, key activity, value proposition, customer relationship, customer segment, key resources and channels The implementation of design thinking can create a UD. Animal feed business model Surya Agung in accourdance with consumer expectations. Key word : Design thinking, Business model innovation, Animal feed.
