Abstract

The use of PP (polypropylene) plastic waste by using the pyrolysis process, polypropylene plastic can be converted into liquid fuel if the PP type plastic fuel this is used on vehicle engines so there are several standards that must be met and comparisons of some of the fuels on the market ncluding testing of calorific value, viscosity, flash point, density, auto ignition and boiling points The results of testing the heating value by using a bomb calorimeter with 100% premium fuel obtained a heating value of 11,414 kj / gram at pertalite can get a heating value of 12,092 kj / gram and pertamax get a heating value of 12,677 kj / gram and on PP plastic fuels obtained a heating value of 10,300 kj / gram. The calorific value of PP is still below the calorific value of the existing Premium, Pertalite dan Pertamax. to increase the calorific value additional material for this type of PP fuel is needed and refining is needed again.
