Abstract

In Indonesian forests there are different types of wood are scattered in the archipelago. The wood has characteristics of various. because it is so diverseso that ordinary people difficult to distinguish. Then it will be made a digital image processing applicationsto distinguish between types of wood. This research used the image of wood on the basis of textureand classified using K-Nearest Neighbours(K-NN). Texture analysis aims to obtain characteristic or feature extraction on a grayscale imagein the form of entropy values, contrast, energy, homogeneity then extraction is used as input for the K-Nearest Neighbours to classify types of wood.
