Abstract

The medical record is the file containing the notes and documents about the identity of the patient, examination, treatment, action and other services that have been provided to the patient. Based on preliminary studies at Ijen public health center there are several medical record management systems is still not optimal. The purpose of this research is to analyze the management of medical record documents in Ijen public health center. This type of research is a qualitative analysis. The data collecting method is caried out by interviews, observation, documentation and brainstorming. The unit of analysis in this research is a medical record unit with 4 subject informants consisting of medical record officer and in charge of the hospitalization and the object of the research is the management of the medical record in Ijen clinics. The result of the research showed that there are unknown factors that caused there is no good medical record document management implementation, those are knowledge officers, level of education, training, motivation and infrastructure. As for advice for clinics to provide opportunities for officers to follow training or seminars on medical record to improve officer knowledge about the management of medical record document, provide the motivation in the form of awards or bonuses to boost the morale of the officers in the works as well as adding a means in the form of shelf medical record, ICD, wifi networks, SIMPUS as well as infrastructure in the form of the room to the unit medical record.
