Abstract
The research aims to determine the effect of concentration and duration of seed soaking in coconut water. This research was use Completely Randomized Design with 2 factors and 3 replications. The first factor was concentration of coconut water with 3 levels, there were 15% (K1), 25% (K2), and 35% (K3). The second factor was duration of soaking with 3 levels, there were 6 hours (L1), 12 hours (L2), and 18 hours (L3). The parameters were Viability, maximum growth potential, growth speed and growth simultaneously. The data was analyzed by using f Test (ANOVA) and followed by DMRT 5%. The result of this research shows that the interaction between concentration of coconut water and duration of soaking is significant on viability, maximum growth potential, growth speed and growth simultaneously. Concentration 35% of coconut water and duration 6 hours of soaking is the best treatment on viability of 61%, maximum growth potential of 69%, growth speed of 22,31% and growth simultaneously of 58%.
