Abstract
Malaria is an infectious disease caused by the parasite Plasmodium that live and breed in human red blood cells (Sunaryo, 2012). This disease is naturally transmitted by the bite of a female Anopheles mosquito. Malaria is a public health problem that can cause death, especially in the high risk group infants, toddlers, pregnant women, in addition to the direct Malaria causes anemia and can decrease productivity. One of the required information at this time is the need for geographic information. Thus, for managing complex data is required an integrated information system that is able to process spatial data effectively and efficiently. Most people with malaria in Banyuwangi is migration from outside Java. Analyzing the geographical factors that affect the spread of malaria in Banyuwangi. Therefore the mapping using GIS. The purpose of this study is to map and analyze distribution of malaria in Banyuwangi the years 2011-2015 using ArcView 3.3 application. The method used is quantitative descriptive. The conclusion that the air temperature, rainfall and altitude may affect distribution of Malaria in Banyuwangi. Suggestions for further research can continue his research on air temperature and precipitation at subdistrict in Banyuwangi and increasing the public awareness of the environmental clean up garbage.
