Abstract

Paddy seed germination can be hampered due to the rate of seed decline. The rate of seed decline can be overcome by using expired seeds that are not used by giving the concentration and duration of paddy seed immersion expired. The purpose of research to obtain a more effective and efficient method of concentration and duration soaking using coconut water. This research was conducted in November - December 2018 in the Laboratory of UPT PSBTPH Malang. This study used a factorial complete randomized design (CDR) with 3 replication. The first factor is the concentration of (K1) coconut water 15%, (K2) 35%, (K3) 55%, (K4) 75%. The second factor is the duration soaking of (L1) 12 hours, (L2) 10 hours (L3) 8 hours. The results showed that concentration and duration soaking were (K3) 55% and the duration soaking (L1) 12 hours (K3L1) gave the best results on the power of exposure (81.00%), the growth rate (10.63%) in growing randomness had no effect .
