Abstract

This research was aimed to analyze inventory control of corn as feed ingredient of egg layer chicken at ABC Farm and analyze the possibility of increasing efficiency of corn as raw material using Economic Order Quantity method. The type of this research is Quantitative Descriptive. The result of analysis showed that with EOQ, inventory cost in 2017 and 2018 is Rp 476.297 per month, and optimal order quantity of raw material is 139,35 ton per order in 1 times order per month. This research showed that Inventory cost by EOQ is more efficience than inventory cost by company method, inventory cost using company method in 2017 and 2018 is Rp 3.629.153 per year, and 10 ton of corn is ordered in 16 times order per month. So efficiency of inventory cost is Rp 3.629.153 by EOQ method. The result of Reorder Point with 13,86 ton of safety stock , showed that reordering happen when corn raw material is 28,86 ton in storage.
