Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the addition of chromium yeast as a feed additive to the performance of broilers. Analysis of the data used was a completely randomized design with 4 treatments and 5 replications. The feed used is artificial feed consisting of broiler chicken concentrate, corn, rice bran, premix, coconut oil, and chromium yeas.t Feeding twice a day, morning and evening. The addition of chromium yeast in the ration with equal protein and energy content in each treatment. The results showed that the addition of chromium yeast had no effect (P> 0.05) on feed consumption, had no effect (P> 0.05) on body weight gain and had an effect (P <0.05) on feed conversion. The conclusion of this study is the addition of chromium yeast to feed can improve the performance of broilers.
