Abstract

Biogas is an anaerobic microbiological generated gas from organic waste. The banana leaf litter is potentially quite dominant in Indonesian territory, so this research is done for biogas production with initial treatment using sulfuric acid solution, the preparation using sulfuric acid solution is more effective and economical than other type of solution. From the results of research conducted biogas the most volume on the control or without the initial treatment of 14,801 ml, but the concentration of sulfuric acid of 1 M is able to accelerate the growth rate of the largest gas. From this research is expected to add insight in the processing of banana leaf litter as biogas with the initial treatment of acid hydrolysis using H2SO4.
