Abstract

From the data from the evaluation of the Probolinggo District Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMD) in 2013-2018, in the general policy table and development program there is an increase in excellent service in the population administration sector which has five performance indicators. Of the five performance indicators there is one program whose achievements are still very far from the target, namely the ratio of the population dying to death whose achievement is still relatively low at 10.67% from 100%. This is of course the relevant government must pay attention to these achievements because the listed targets are classified as high while their achievements still have not reached half of the specified target.The death certificate is one of the various important events that must be listed on the Population and Civil Registry Service. The usefulness of this death certificate is one of the requirements for managing an heir, both for a wife or husband or child. For widowers or widows as a condition for remarriage. For the government, the recording of deaths can obtain event statistics that can be used to monitor the causes of death, life expectancy, and implementation of development policies.The role of information technology utilization for managing registration of population documents is very much needed, especially because there is still no information system for website-based death certificate registration, management of recording death certificates that have not been computerized which can lead to low documentation such as recapitulation of death certificate recording reports.
