Abstract

This research was conducted by aiming to determine the interaction between the position of the buds and varieties of varieties on the combination growth of sugar cane (Saccharum officinarum L.). This research was conducted at the Jember State Polytechnic Experimental Garden from August 2018 - January 2019. The experimental design in this study was using RAKF (Randomized Factorial Design) 3 replications, and there were two factors with 10 mules and two buds per treatment unit. The first factor is the position of the buds notified by the letter (B) which consists of 3 levels of treatment consisting of, B1= Upper stem mule, (buds number 3, 4, 5, 6), B2= middle stem mule, ( buds number 7, 8, 9, 10), B3= Rootstock mule. (buds number 11, 12, 13, 14). The second factor is sugarcane variety notated with the letter (V) which consists of 3 levels of treatment namely V1= Variety PS 862, V2= Variety VMC 86550, V3= Variety PS 881. Variance results show significant and then the DMRT test is carried out (DMRT) Duncan Multiple Range Test) 5% level. The results of the study showed that the treatment of the single factor position of the buds and the variety of single factors showed a significant effect on the parameters of plant height, number of leaves, number of tillers, germination, stem diameter. Influence of interaction between the position of the buds and varieties of varieties occurred on all observed variables. Key Words: Bagal, Bud Nambers, Sugarcane Varieties.
