Abstract

This study aims to analyze the performance of waste lithium-ion batteries as energy storage media., the research process includes physical and capacity-based sorting to determine eligible used batteries for testing. The selected batteries were tested using charge and discharge methods with a two-cell series configuration, equipped with a BMS and Zhiwei ZB2l3 for voltage controller. The testing process was conducted over 10 days using constant loads to evaluate efficiency, remaining actual capacity, and degradation level compared to new batteries. The results indicate that several used batteries still show efficient performance with over 70% remaining capacity. This demonstrates that properly selected used batteries can be reused as cost-effective. Keywords: charge-discharge, degradation, efficiency, lithium-ion, waste battery.
