Abstract

Corn (Zea mays L.) is one of the important cereal crops in Indonesia. The role of corn has an important position as a staple food substitute for rice. With the increasing population of Indonesia, it is actually the opposite of the resulting corn production. PT. Surya Kencana Agrifarm Sejahteran is a national company engaged in the seed sector. In its development, PT. SKAS carries out plant breeding with the aim of testing the yield of 5 genotypes of new candidate varieties that have high productivity by means of three-way cross. The study was conducted in Patrang District, Jember Regency, from May to September 2024. This study used a Non�Factorial Randomized Block Design (RAK) using 5 genotypes, namely genotypes TS 11, TS 12, TS 13, TS 14, and TS 15 which were repeated 3 times so that 15 experimental units were obtained. Data processing was carried out using SPSS with a 5% BNJ further test. Based on the research conducted, the TS 11 code is the most superior code for the wet cob weight character, namely 368.7 grams, dry cob weight 261.31 grams, seed weight per cob 196.66 grams, cob length 21.88 cm, number of seeds per row 38 grains, cob diameter 51.93 mm, weight of 1000 grains 388.6820 grams, and potential yield 16.7 tons/ha
