Abstract

This research is a type of quantitative descriptive research which aims to analyze the amount of inventory of wheat flour raw materials that is more optimal, analyzing safety stocks (safety stock), analyze the reorder point (Reorder Point), analyze total inventory costs (Total Inventory Cost) and analyze the results of the comparison of the total cost of supplies of raw materials for wheat flour between using the conventional method applied by Hasanah Bakery and using the EOQ method. The analytical method used is use Economic order Quantity (EOQ), Safety Stock (SS), Reorder Point (ROP), and Total Inventory Cost (TIC) using assistive devices software POM-QM for Windows. The results of research using calculations using the EOQ method show that the total purchase of wheat flour raw materials in 2023 is 45,700 kg with an average of 1,597 kg in one purchase and 46,050 kg with an average of 1,603 kg in one purchase in 2024. The frequency of purchases is 29 times with a total ordering cost in 2023 of IDR 287,469.00 and amounting to IDR 288,566.00 in 2024. Safety stock in 2023 it will be 444 kg and in 2024 it will be 423 kg. The reorder point must be made if the remaining inventory is 573 kg in 2023 and 552 kg in 2024. With EOQ calculations the company can save total inventory costs of IDR 1,503,607.00 in 2023 and IDR 1,516,138.00 in 2024.
