Abstract
UD. Bima is one of the snack food industries that processes cassava raw materials into processed cassava chips located in Jember Regency. UD. Bima carries out the production process with a capacity of 400 kg per production. The process of purchasing raw materials is carried out 2-3 times a week with a capacity of 700- 800 kg, sometimes the amount of cassava raw materials purchased exceeds the production capacity carried out on that day. This study aims to (1) Identify the control of cassava raw material inventory at Cutella Presto at UD. Bima Jember Regency. (2) Analyzing the inventory control of cassava raw materials at Cutella Presto using the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method at UD. Bima Jember Regency. (3) Analyzing the results of the comparison of inventory costs between the cassava raw material inventory system at Cutella Presto and the raw material inventory system using the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method at UD. Bima Jember Regency. The method used is descriptive quantitative. The research implementation uses the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) approach with analysis techniques including EOQ, safety stock, order frequency, total inventory cost and reorder point. The results showed that the optimal order quantity obtained from the EOQ calculation was 2,475 kg with a purchase frequency of 45 times in 1 year and the reorder was made when the cassava raw material was 1,035.87 kg. The total inventory cost is IDR 18,012,985. The application of the EOQ method to controlling the inventory of cassava raw materials saves the frequency of ordering 94 times, also saves costs of Rp. 12,767,715 or 41% and saves the value of rupiah of Rp. 135,826,755 each purchase.
