Abstract

Aphids (Aphis glycines) are one of the main pests of soybean plants that can significantly reduce crop yields. However, the common practice of synthetic insecticides is widespread and can potentially disrupt the ecosystem. Therefore, applying bioinsecticides made from environmentally friendly materials such as kipahit or marigold tree (Tithonia diversifolia) leaves on soybeans is necessary. This research aimed to examine the efficacy of kipahit leaf bioinsecticide against aphids on soybean plants. This research used the Independent Sample T-test to observe the performance of kipahit leaf bioinsecticide and diafenthiuron pesticide. The results of this study showed that the diafentiuron pesticide was superior in plant height (54 cm), population number (13.5), intensity of pest attack (70.6%), number of pods (66 pods), pod weight per sample (214.06 grams), and fresh biomass weight (513.08 grams).
