Abstract

This research was intended to know the fruitfulness of shoot grafting in the cocoa plant with different time and length of shoots. It was done in October 2019 – January 2020 at Lahan Laboratorium Lapang (Saung), State Polytechnic of Jember. This research used randomized block factorial design (RAK) with the first factor was grafting time and the second factor was entres length. There were 3 levels of the grafting time, those were; in the morning at 06.00-07.00, at noon (11.30-12.30), and in the afternoon at (16.30-17.30) while the length entres factor consist of 3 levels, those were 5cm, 7,5cm, and 10cm. further testing was done by using BNJ (different, real, honest) by a 5% level. The result of this research showed that the time grafting actions were different from the shoot height parameter and the length entres actions showed very different results toward the number and the height of shoots.
