Abstract
The research was conducted to determine the Effect of Media and the addition of Granule Organic Fertilizer (POG) on the growth of cane seeds (Saccharum officinarum L.) Varieties PS 881. This research was conducted in the research area of State Polytechnic Jember, District Sumbersari, Regency Jember, Province East Java. The timing of the research was carried out from November 2019 to February 2020. The research method used was a Factorial Randomized Block Design (RAK) consisting of 2 factors. The first factor is the planting medium consisting of 3 levels including top soil (1) : sand (1), top soil (1) : sand (1½), top soil (1) : sand (2). The second factor was the addition of granule organic fertilizer consisting of 4 levels including (control, ½, 1, 1½ of the ratio of media) with 3 replications. The observation parameters consisted of seed height (cm), seed stem diameter (cm), number of leaves, number of tillers and root volume. The results showed that the interaction of the media with the addition of POG had a significant effect on the diameter of the seedlings at 28 HST and 42 HST.
