Abstract
The research was conducted to determine the Effect of soaking time and concentration of young coconut water on the growth of sugar cane seeds varieties PS 881 (Saccharum officinarum L.). This research was conducted in the research area of State Polytechnic Jember, District Sumbersari, Regency Jember, Province East Java. The timing of the research was carried out from November 2019 to February 2020. The research method used was a Factorial Randomized Block Design (RAK) consisting of 2 factors. The first factor is the immersion time of young coconut water ZPT consisting of 4 levels including control, 60 minutes, 120 minutes and 180 minutes. The second factor was the ZPT concentration of young coconut water consisting of 3 levels including 150 ml/l, 300 ml/l, 450 ml/l with 3 replications. The observation parameters consisted of germination speed (%), germination rate (%), seedling height (cm), number of leaves (strands), number of tillers and root volume (ml). The results showed that the concentration of young coconut water had a significant effect on root volume when sugar cane was 70 HST.
