Abstract
Coffee in the Sempol Ijen Bondowoso area has a distinctive taste. So that Ijen Arabica coffee was able to penetrate the export market to Europe after receiving full support from the Bondowoso regional government. This research aims to determine the differences in the morphological characteristics of Arabica coffee for each variety in the Sempol Village Area, Ijen District, Bondowoso Regency. The research was carried out using a descriptive method using random sampling (according to the results of pre-exploration) of Arabica coffee plants of each variety in their natural habitat by direct observation including stems, leaves, flowers, fruit and seeds on samples of Arabica coffee plants in the Sempol Village area. Ijen District, Bondowoso Regency. The results of the morphological characterization show that there are six varieties of Arabica coffee in the Sempol area, namely the Cobra, Lini S 795, Composite, USDA, Java typica and Orange bourbon varieties. The results of the research stated that the leaf shoots had different colors for each variety, the Cobra variety had greenish brown shoots, the Lini S 795 variety had greenish brown shoots on the Composite variety, the shoots had greenish brown shoots on the USDA variety, the shoots had brownish green shoots on the Java variety. typica has brown shoots and the Orange bourbon variety has green shoots.
