Abstract

Career is an important aspect that is never separated from the world of work. Some individuals, especially students, often experience obstacles that affect their careers. Lack of awareness of career potential is one of the main factors. An expert system for student career potential based on personality type as well as providing information about potential careers that can be done independently. The purpose of this research is to create an expert system using the Dempster Shafer method to analyze student career potential based on personality type, career potential and implement the Dempster Shafer method into an expert system. The system proved to work well in Black box testing with a percentage of 100% from 82 scenarios tested. The User Acceptance Test (UAT) percentage result was 96.4%. This shows that the system has been running according to user expectations. The accuracy of the results reached 91.6% from 60 tests by comparing the results of the pretest and the expert system.
