Abstract

This research aims to study the effect of using baglog waste plant media and baglog waste compost on the quality of basil plants. This study used randomized block design (RBD) consisting of 9 media treatments and 3 replications, namely 100% soil, 100% mushroom baglog waste, 100% mushroom baglog waste compost, 50% soil + 50% mushroom baglog waste, 50% soil + 50% Mushroom Baglog Waste Compost, 25% Soil + 75% Mushroom Baglog Waste, 25% Soil + 75% Mushroom Baglog Waste Compost, 75% Soil + 25% Mushroom Baglog Waste and 75% Soil + 25% Mushroom Baglog Waste Compost. The results of the study showed that the addition of plant media for baglog waste and compost for baglog waste had a significant effect on plant height and the best fresh weight on 75% soil + 25% compost for mushroom baglog waste.
