Abstract

Ergonomic design of the filing room in Nganjuk Hospital had a problems are that the filing room is still not as required and inefficient, the required for shelves is not sufficient, the officer’s chair and table do not match the officer's anthropometry. The impact caused if the facilities are not in accordance with the anthropometry of the officer is that the officer becomes uncomfortable and less flexibility in doing the job. The purpose of this study was to analyze the ergonomic design of the medical record storage room at Nganjuk Hospital in 2022. The research method is qualitative and the data collection methods are observation, interviews, documentation and brainstorming. The subjects of this study were the head of medical records and 4 filing officers. The results of this study are redesigning shelves, chairs, tables, calculating shelf needs and redesigning an ergonomic filing room layout. Researcher visualized in the form of a shelf design sized 190 cm high, 30 cm wide, 100 cm long, a chair sized 103 cm high, 55 cm wide, 54 cm long and a table sized 82 cm high, 59 cm wide, 146 cm according to the anthropometry of officers, researcher calculated shelf needs with the results of 70 shelves, researchers also redesigned the filing room with a new ergonomic layout with an area of 252 M^2 and can accommodate 63 shelves. Suggestions from researcher need to procure chairs, tables, and modified filing shelves, retire medical records on time, and rearrange the shelves in the existing filing room so that officers become comfortable at work.
