Abstract

Work -related fatigue occurs due to an excess of tasks or workload that does not align with the physical condition of the workers. Observation results among the staff of RSIA Muhammadiyah revealed 5 medical record section staff, consisting of 1 male and 4 female staff members, who frequently experience complaints related to th eir physical condition or health. The aim of this study is to analyze the factors causing work fatigue among medical record staff at RSIA Muhammadiyah Kota Probolinggo. The method employed in this research is a qualitative approach, utilizing data collecti on techniques such as observation, interviews, measurements, and brainstorming. Work fatigue is measured through the Fatigue Assessment Scale (FAS) questionnaire, workload is calculated using the ABK -Kes method, room temperature is measured using a room th ermometer, lighting is assessed using a Luxmeter, noise is gauged using a Sound level meter (SLM), and anthropometric measurements of the staff are taken using a measuring tool. The findings of the research indicate that workload, lighting, and ergonomics are contributors to work fatigue. However, room temperature and noise are not significant factors causing work fatigue among medical record staff. Recommendations put forth include increasing the number of medical record staff, using standard -compliant lig ht fixtures in the medical record workspace, and replacing chairs and work desks to align with the anthropometric measurements of the medical record staff.
