Abstract
Informed consent was approved for medical action given by the patient or next of kin after receiving a complete explanation of the doctor's or dentist's actions. Completeness of informed consent after obtaining clear information was 100%. Based on a preliminary study by researchers at Clinic dr. M. Suherman on 50 informed consent sheets in May 2022 found that the identification component had a percentage of 22% completeness, 90% important reporting, 92% authentication and 36% correct documentation. Informed consent forms that were not filled in completely result in the information becoming invalid. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between the completeness of filling out informed consent and the fulfillment of legal requirements at the Clinic dr. M. Suherman Jember. This type of research is quantitative analytic with a cross-sectional approach. The sample used was 86 sheets of informed consent with the Lemeshow formula. The sampling technique is simple random sampling. Data analysis was performed univariate and bivariate with the chi-square test and the Fisher Exact Test. The results of the univariate study showed that the average percentage of the components of identification, important reporting, authentication and correct documentation were categorized as incomplete. Bivariately used the chi-square statistical test with the Fisher Exact Test formula, it was found that there was a significant relationship between the components of identification (p-value 0.000 <0.05), important reporting (p-value 0.014 <0.05), authentication (p-value 0.031 < 0.05) and proper documentation (p-value 0.009 < 0.05) with compliance with legal requirements. Recommendations that can be given to address the completeness of informed consent that is not yet 100% are conducting a work evaluation of the health worker who is responsible for filling out informed consent and making a statement letter containing a commitment to fill out complete informed consent.
