Abstract

The website has and important role in educational institutions, including the Library at State Polytechnic of Jember which utilizes the webiste to disseminate information to the academic community. State Polytechnic of Jember has a repository website called the Polije Repository Asset Information System or SIPORA. This website contains the works of the local academic community such as final assignments, theses, journals, and etc. This information is very useful for academics who will conduct research. Some of the problems found on the SIPORA website are the interface that is less attractive and difficult for new users to understand. The purpose of this research is to evaluate the level of user experience and design a website development design using a User Centered Design approach. The goal is to provide solutions to users who have difficulty using the system. The results of the first test get a value of 76% in the Good category. In the second test after the preparation of design recommendations, the usability value increased to 91% with a very good category. Keywords: SIPORA, User Centered Design (UCD)
