Abstract
Hospital has full responsibility in maintaining and providing medical records. Medical records distribution from filing rooms to the clinic is an example of medical record providing. In the indicators of the quality of the medical record, it is stated that the distribution of outpatient medical records does not exceed 10 minutes and the distribution of inpatient medical records takes no more than 15 minutes. The conditions that occur at Gatoel Hospital are the unknown time of medical record distribution from the filing room to the poly, and there is undistributed medical record totaling approximately four to seven medical records a day. Besides medical records in and out are also still manual and often not recorded, it certainly causes the resulting data is inaccurate. The purpose of this research is to design and create a medical record distribution information system at Gatoel hospital with Visualbasic.Net and MySQL database and use the waterfall system development method which consists of system requirements analysis, system design, system coding, and system testing. The results of this study are a medical record distribution information system that provides information related to medical records in and out as well as the time required in the medical record distribution.
