Abstract
This study aims to determine the level of pathogenicity of several isolates of Beauveria bassiana biological agents method of application to tobacco leaf caterpillars (Spodoptera litura). This research was conducted at the Plant Protection Laboratory of the Agricultural Production Department State Polytechnic of Jember, carried out experimentally and using Factorial Randomized Block Design with 2 different factors. The first factor was control (B1), isolates from Balittas (B2), isolates from Puslit Koka Jember strain 725 (B3) and isolates from Puslit koka Jember strain 715 (B4). The second factor is the contact method (M1) and feed method (M2). tobacco leaf caterpillars used were instar larvae stage 3 totaling 320 individuals and each treatment amounted to 10 individuals. The observational parameters of this study were larval mortality, LT50, behavior changes and physical changes. the results showed that the Beauveria bassiana biological agent was applied to be pathogenic and effective against Spodoptera litura with a better application method is the contact method, while the combination of several isolates and the Beauveria bassiana biological agent application methodno significant effect on mortality of Spodoptera litura.
