Abstract

Public Health Centre (PUSKESMAS) of Kaliwates has implemented the SIMPUS (Management Information System of The Public Health Centre) provided by the Health Department of Jember, since 2010. In its implementation, SIMPUS at the Public Health Centre of Kaliwates still has a problem, namely, the SIMPUS is no longer running so currently the outpatient registration is done manually. This manual registration can lead to a duplication of patient data and errors in entering patient data. The purpose of this study was to design and create an outpatients information system at the Public Health Center of Kaliwates in Jember by using the waterfall method. The data of this research were collected by using interview and observation. The process of designing this system used a Flowchart System, Context Diagram, Data Flow Diagram, Entity-Relationship Diagram, and the implementation of the program used Microsoft Visual Basic.Net. The result of this research was making an outpatients information system to facilitate the service to be more effective and efficient and to minimize data entry errors.
