Abstract

Rice plants can be easily attacked by various diseases, these diseases canbeknown from the symptoms that arise, but to find out the types of diseases that attack rice, it requires an agricultural expert. While the number of agricultural experts is limited and cannot solve the problems of farmers at the same time, sowe need a system that has the ability like an expert, where this systemcontainsknowledge about the expertise of an agricultural expert. This study designedachatbot-based expert system to assist farmers in diagnosing rice plant diseases. The expert system for diagnosing rice plant diseases based on chatbots that havebeen developed has advantages in easy access and use. With the chatbot feature, it is hoped that it can be used as a tool to diagnose rice plant diseases and canbeaccessed by farmers everywhere to overcome the limited number of agricultural experts in diagnosing rice plant diseases
