Abstract

Medical records are documents that must be kept confidential by doctors, dentists, certain health workers, management officers and leaders of health service facilities by managing the borrowing and returning of good medical records, so that a smooth and orderly process is created in the process of borrowing and returning medical records. Therefore, the nature of confidentiality that has been mentioned, medical records must be controlled regarding the entry and exit of files so that they are not leaked to irresponsible parties. The return of outpatient medical record files must be returned before 1 x 24 hours according to the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) at the Tanjunganom Health Center, Nganjuk Regency. Recording of borrowing and returning medical record files still uses a manual system, officers are often negligent and incomplete in recording in the expedition book so that it is difficult to control incoming and outgoing files. The purpose of this study is to create an information system for borrowing and returning medical record files accompanied by a reminder of late file submissions. This study uses a system development method, namely a prototype that starts from analyzing user needs, designing prototypes, coding with the Visual Studio Code programming language, testing systems with black box testing techniques. Methods of data collection using interviews, observation, brainstorming, and documentation. The subjects in this study consisted of 3 officers, namely 2 registration officers as well as filing officers, and a person in charge of medical records. The results of this study are information systems for borrowing and returning medical record files which are equipped with a reminder for late file returns. This information system for borrowing and returning medical records will simplify the process of controlling medical record files.
