Abstract

The research was aimed to determine the exact media composition and type of varieties that are ideal for sugarcane growth. This study was conducted using Factorial Completely Randomized Design (FCRD) with 2 experimental factors. The first factors was growth media (M) with 4 levels. The second factors is variety (V) with 3 levels, so that there were 12 treatment combinations with 3 replications. Using the smallest significant difference (LSD) test at 5% level. The results showed that the treatment with the best response was M1 by comparison (1: 1: 1). The best response varieties are indicated by plant height and number of leaves. Varieties that have ideal growth are V1 (PS 862). keywords: media composition, variety, ideal growth.
