Abstract

The superior class program is one of the alternatives that can shape students in developing their knowledge, skills, and potential to develop optimally. SMPN 1 Banyuputih Situbondo is a school that has implemented a superior class program, but the system used in selecting superior class students still does not use the tools or methods used. In the student selection process, there are assessment criteria used, namely the average report card criteria, Natural Science Writing Test, Social Science Written Test, Mathematics Written Test, English Written Test, and Academic Achievement, to assist the school in determining class students. superiority according to the criteria, a decision support system is needed. The calculation is done using the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method because it can determine the weight value of each criterion, the result is a ranking of each student which can be a recommendation for the school to determine which students are entitled to enter the superior class program based on the results of student scores. which has been processed using the Simple Additive Weighting method.
