Abstract

This research aimed to determine the effect of yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae mix emulsifier to body weight, carcass percentage, abdominal fat and internal organs of Gaok chicken. The material in this study consisted of Gaok chickens which were treated from 2 weeks to 11 weeks of age with a maintenance period of 9 weeks and the addition of yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae mix emulsifier as a treatment on BR1 feed. This research method is an experiment with a completely randomized design consisting of 4 treatments and 5 replications. Each replication consisted of 5 chickens and 1 chicken sample was taken, so there were 20 Gaok chickens. The additional concentration treatments were: Y1 (control), Y2 (1 gram/kg feed), Y3 (2 grams/kg feed) and Y4 (3 grams/kg feed). The research parameters were body weight, carcass percentage, abdominal fat percentage and the percentage of internal organs of Gaok chicken. Data analysis using ANOVA. The results of the body weight study showed that the effect of yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae mix emulsifier had a significant (P<0.05) increase on body weight with a level of administration of 2 grams/kg feed, in 3 grams / kg of feed can reduce the body weight of Gaok chickens and had no significant effect (P>0.05) on the percentage carcass, abdominal fat and internal organs of Gaok chicken. The results of this study can be concluded that the effect of yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae mix emulsifier has a significant effect on body weight with a concentration of 2 grams/kg feed.
