Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of nutrient concentration of AB Mix and shoot pruning on seed production and quality of baby cucumber seeds. This research has been carried out in December - February 2021 in PT. Benih Citra Asia Sumber Jambe, Jember. This study used a randomized block design with 2 factors, 3 levels and was repeated 3 times. The first factor was the nutrient concentration of AB Mix (N) consisting of 3 levels, EC 2 µS/cm, EC 2.5 µS/cm, dan 3 µS/cm. The second factor consisted of 3 levels of shoot pruning, 5th segment shoot pruning, 10th segment shoot pruning, 15th space shoot pruning. Furthermore, the data was tested by F (ANOVA) and further tested using Ducan's Multiple Range Test (DMRT). The results of data analysis showed that the effect of nutrient concentration of AB Mix had a very significant effect on the number of planted fruits (4.86 pieces), seed weight (3.13 gr), production per hectare (184.71 kg), weight 1000 grains (2.45 gr), germination power (97.44%). ). Treatment of shoot pruning had a very significant effect on the parameters of the number of fruits (4.81 pieces), the weight of planting seeds (3.19 gr), and production per hectare (184.94 kg). And there is an interaction in N3T3 on the parameters of the number of seeds planted (282.83 grains) and the number of seeds planted (217.33 seeds).
