Abstract

HEMPAS is a website-based application that is able to educate patients diagnosed with Hepatitis A and adjust their diet in a more interesting and efficient way. As we know, Indonesia is one of the countries with endemic Hepatitis status (Kemenkes RI, 2014). Even in Jember, Hepatitis is an outbreak that the case number increases every year and is suffered by most college students. Hepatitis itself leads to various complications, such as Fulminant Hepatitis, Autoimmune Hepatitis, Cholestatic Hepatitis, Relapse Hepatitis as well as Pasca Hepatitis Syndrome (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome). To overcome this issue, HEMPAS provides information regarding Hepatitis A, hygiene sanitation, hepatitis diet and dietary recommendations for 7 days starting from breakfast, morning snack, lunch, afternoon snack and dinner. This research used Research and Development (R&D) as a method and AADIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) stage model. Moreover, this research applied mixed-methods for data analysis. Qualitative was used for grouping information from feedback and recommendations obtained from a validated questionnaire. In the meantime, the questionnaire results were analyzed quantitatively from Likert scale.
