Abstract

Silo subdistrict recorded in the EPPGBM report as of February has a high prevalence of stunting, especially in the coverage of silo II health center area as many as 1269 toddlers this is strengthened by the data of E-HDW (E-Health Development Worker) report of the Ministry of Villages and DDRT as of March 2021 that Silo subdistrict is ranked highest in Jember by 49%. During the Covid 19 pandemic, there was a tendency to decrease cadre practices in stunting diagnoses. The purpose of this study is to see a picture of cadre practice in determining the status of stunting toddlers. The method used is descriptive quantitative with data retrieval techniques with stratified random sampling on 40 cadres in Harjomulyo village. The results and discussions obtained showed the majority of cadres did the right practice although there are still some improper practices such as cadre practice on anthropometry tools, namely finding a flat field mat that is not yet appropriate (55%), as well as cadre practice in toddlers namely Positioning unbending legs and knees parallel fused (55%) and read the size after positioning the toddler (60%). However, in the practice of stunting diagnosis, the majority cadres do not properly diagnose stunting based on the standard cut off -2 deviation (57.5%), where the stunting child should be determined if the measurement exceeds the cut off.
