Abstract
Attendance management at SMK Taruna Bakti Kertosono is still conducted manually, causing difficulties in recording, recapitulating, and storing student attendance data. Based on previous studies, several limitations were identified, including the lack of data security implementation, responsive user interfaces, functional testing, and automatic attendance statistics. This study aims to develop a web-based attendance system to assist administrators in managing student attendance data more effectively and systematically. The system was developed using the Scrum method with the Laravel framework, PHP and JavaScript programming languages, and MySQL database management system. The developed system provides features such as login, teacher and student data management, daily attendance, subject-based attendance using QR Codes, permission management, reporting, notifications, and attendance reports that can be downloaded in Excel format. System testing was conducted using Black Box Testing with the Use Case Testing approach, resulting in a success rate of 98.36%, while usability testing using the System Usability Scale (SUS) achieved a score of 82.5, which falls into the excellent category. These results indicate that the developed system can support attendance management processes and is suitable for implementation at SMK Taruna Bakti Kertosono.
