Abstract

The purpose of Field Work Practice is to acquire knowledge, skills and abilities of larval rearing prawns in the Great Hall of Brackish Water Aquaculture (BBPBAP) Jepara. The method used in Jepara BBPBAP orientation is that students are invited by the supervisor to identify where street vendors and the observation that students attend in person management activities larval rearing prawns. The larvae prawns were taken from Samas (individual) Mang Engking, Sleman, Yogyakarta. Maintenance Management larvae during nursery 1 (the larval stage) age of 4 days after hatching to nursery 2 aged 35 days or be PL (Post Larvae) prawns. The results obtained in the management of larval rearing prawns are able to determine the survival rate, growth of larvae prawns, water quality parameters, and knowing the parasites and bacteria that attack the larvae prawns.
