Abstract

Nowadays many people learn about manner in the table when they are going to attend a formal party or formal dinner. Moreover, table manner is important for business people who usually dinning out with their client or business partner to impress them. Business people have to poses table manner knowledge so their meeting will run well. Some of the important knowledges of table manner are history, function and participant of table manner. To learn about those knowledges, they need sufficient material. One of effective media to learn table manner was video, because the video provided with expression and body movement. Therefore, the writer intended to make video for international business people to learn about table manner. In making video, the writer collecting some data likes interview, observation documentation and browsing. The writer interviewed the General Manager of Safari Hotel and Restaurant about table manner to get primary data and it becomes the place where the writer conducts the shoot. In making this final project the writer faced some problem such as the limited of literature in the library, hard to find suitable hotel to conduct table manner and difficulties in editing the video. The writer adapts eight steps of procedure of making video from Lyver. The content of the video are introducing table manner, equipment, menu knowledge, etiquette of table manner. This report focuses on introduction of table manner as it the writer subtitle. As the result of this video was shared through You Tube, the writer uses English and it is suitable with the writer goal in providing the material for International business people. It was also distributed to Safari Hotel and Restaurant, English Study Program and Politeknik Negeri Jember. Furthermore the writer increased English skill, got knowledge about table manner and had skill in editing video.
