Abstract

Growth at the age of children under five is needed early detection of dried or sprout deviation. Activity of stimulation can stimulate the formation of children's intelligence and can improve early child development and development. the necessity more attention in growing flowers at the age of five is based on the fact that less nutritional Status, that occurred in this golden period, is irreversible (can not recover). Health problems due to lack of intelligence and cognitive ability. The brain development of eighty percent of children begins in the womb until the age of 3 years known as the golden period, therefore it takes an exclusive breastfeeding for 6 months and can be continued until the child is 2 years old. This is because breast milk contains protein, carbohydrates, fats and minerals needed by the baby in a balanced amount. The purpose of this research is to know the relation of history of breastfeeding, giving stimulation and nutritional status to cognitive development of toddler at Kaliwates Health Center of Jember Regency. This research was done on July until August 2017. The research method was observational analytic with cross sectional approach with 419 childhood. The sample size in this study were 78 subjects with cluster random sampling sampling technique. Statistical analysis of this study using chi square correlation test. Conclusion there was a history of breastfeeding (p = 0,000), stimulation (p = 0,017) and nutritional status (p = 0,031) with cognitive development in toddler at Kaliwates Health Center Jember District.
