Abstract

BGM is a condition of toddler who experience growth problems due to malnutrition so that when weighing, the weight is below the red line on KMS or malnutrition status (BB/U <-3 SD). In 2015 and 2016 Pasirian Community Health Center ranked second in Lumajang Regency with a respective percentage of 1.7% and 1.2%. In 2017 and 2018 Pasirian Community Health Center ranked first with a respective percentage of 1.3% and 1.1%. This figure has not met the RPJMD target of 1%. In 2019 the number of toddler BGM at Pasirian Community Health Center reached 0,93%. This figure has not met the RPJMD target of 0,59%. The purpose of this study was to analyze the determinants associated with the incidence of BGM toddler in the working area of Pasirian Community Health Center in Lumajang Regency. The kind of this research was analytic survey used case control with a total sample of 30 cases and 30 controls. The sampling technique was used concecutive sampling. Research data obtained through interviews and observations. Data analysis using Chi-quare Test. The factors can related with BGM are birth weight (p=0,001; OR=14,000), maternal knowledge (p=0,001; OR=8,500), exclusive breastfeeding (p=0,000; OR=11,667), complementary feeding (p=0,000; OR=24,182). While factors not related to BGM were history of infectious disease (p=1,000; OR=1,000), mother’s education (p=0,319; OR=2,571), socioeconomic (p=0,301; OR=1,962), completeness of immunization (p=0,350; OR=4,462). There is a relationship between birth weight, maternal knowledge, exclusive breastfeeding and complementary feeding. Exclusive breastfeeding is the main factor of Children Below The Red Line (BGM) In The Working Area Of Pasirian Community Health Center In Lumajang Regency.
