Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the closeness between the component of results with the soybean plant result of F5 generation crossing result and to getthe component of results that have positive correlation value that can be used as base to get genotype with high yield potential character. This research was held on July – October 2015 at State Polytechnic of Jember field. This research used Randomized Block Design (RDB) non factorial then the data was analyzed using simple correlation analysis and continuing with across analysis. The result research showed that the component of results such as plant hight, the total of branches, the total of pods, the seed weight each plant and the weight of 100 seeds can be used as the selection base to get genotype of soybean with high yield potential at the next generation, and this 5 characters have higher direct effect value than correlation coefficient
