Abstract

Food is the main necessity of human being to continue their life. The sanitation hygiene’s role in food is crucial; however if one of those is disturbed, the food may affect health problem such as food borne disease moreover, food poisoning. People’s knowledge about the good standard of sanitation hygiene makes no guarantee of the good hygiene attitude. This is reflected by people’s intention, habits, environment, facility, etc. This research is used for knowing the relation between knowledge and attitude and the food’s sanitation hygiene practicality in the case of food seller in Jajag Gambiran Bus Station Area, Banyuwangi. This research uses analytical survey research method with cross sectional approach. This research was held on December 2nd – 6 th , 2015 in Jajag Gambiran Banyuwangi bus station area. The data sampling was obtained by questioner which was interviewed by the researcher to the respondents which involved 32 respondents. Based on univariat on knowledge and attitude the results highest same namely 23 respondents to a category good . On practices in the highest that is 14 respondents to a category enough. Based on Bivariat analysis which was statistically tested as Spearman Rank Correlation, on the knowledge to practice connection testing emerges (p 0,710) which shows no significant correlation between both variables. On the knowledge to practice connection testing emerges (p 0,426) which shows no significant correlation between both variables. The conclusion of this research that there is no relationship between knowledge and practice and there is no relationship between attitude and practice.
