Abstract

The return of medical records file of inpatient patient has standard of payback time 2x24 hours after patient returns in accordance with SOP applicable in hospital. However, the delay in returning medical record files in RSD Kalisat is still common. The purpose of this research is to determine the priority and improvement of the problem of delay in return of medical records file of inpatient in RSD Kalisat. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research with interview data collection method, documentation, and brainstorming. The result of identification of factors causing the delay of medical record file stated that the delay of return of medical record file is caused by several things one of them is the incompleteness of the filing of medical record file. Planning done in this research is improvement of Standard Oprasional Evaluation Procedure of Filling File Record Medical File which aims to support the quality of file in completeness of filling of medical record file and to facilitate administration of return of file. From the results of this study the researchers suggested that there is training on the return of file files to inpatients. It is also necessary to apply standard operational procedures to speed up the timing of completing the medical record file and can be carried out continuous review of this purpose as a reminder that the medical record file can be completed immediately and can be returned within the specified time limit
